Actor Paulo Gustavo dies as a result of Covid-19

Actor Paulo Gustavo died today, at the age of 42, as a result of the covid-19. The worsening of the actor's health happened on Sunday night (2). Paulo Gustavo had been showing significant improvements, had reduced sedatives and blockers and interacted with doctors and also with her husband, Thales Bretas. At night, however, he suffered a pulmonary embolism.

"At 9:12 pm on Tuesday, 05/05, the patient Paulo Gustavo Monteiro passed away, victim of the covid-19 and its complications. At all times of his hospitalization, both the patient and his family and close friends had irreproachable behaviors, transmitting confidence in the medical team and other professionals who participated in their treatment ", says the note.

At the hospital, the comedian was in a serious condition and was treated with ECMO, a kind of artificial lung. Yesterday, he had fistulas that caused air to leak from the lung and triggered a gas embolism - when blood vessels are blocked by air bubbles.
